SMS Functionality

Medicment members can send their values to Medicment per SMS - these will be automatically saved into your database.

For diabetics additionally there is the possibility to use the Insulin Calculator per SMS. To use this service, you have to purchase SMS-credits in our Medicment Shop in advance - we also have to pay to the provider for each sent message.

A system of key-letters has been developped to help Medicment to identify the sent values:

. you enter a key-letter for each type of value
. then you enter the value itself.

You enter the key-letter for the value - directly followed by the value itself. In case you send more than one value, they have to be separated by a space. Medicment is then able to identify, that one value has been finished and another one follows.

Here is a chart of the actual used key-letters :
d blood pressure, systolic and diastolic value separated with / (example: 120/80)
w weight in kg
h height in cm
s actual blood sugar level
b bread units you want to eat
l pulse frequency (beats per minute)
u your login name for Medicment
p your password

When you have entered your number of your cell phone in the menu function "Users data" in menu "User Address/Basic settings", then it is not necessary to put in your login name and the password. Your cell phone and you as a member will be automatically identified by Medicment.

The login name and the password are necessary in the case, when you send a message from a different cell phone. The recommendation of the Insulin calculator will be automatically sent back to the used cell phone.
